To the ever so lovely and bubbly Regine..

I would like to dedicate this post to Regine, my one and only vice captain.

Today, when I saw Regine standing in the competition mat getting ready for the Group Stunting Competition, a sudden surge of emotions over-whelmed me. I felt very proud of Regine. She has gone through a lot for the team. The fact that she was standing there in front of the crowd representing Spectrum is testament to the effort and hard work that she has put in for the team.

I was there when she tried her 1st fly bird. I was there when she tried her 1st lay-out. I was there when she got injured in Thailand. To have gone through the ordeal that she did in Thailand and still carry on cheering is not easy. Although after that incident Regine never did fully regain her confidence, I never thought less of her. In fact, I respect her even more for her commitment to the team.

Today, when i saw her standing there, I really wanted to shout out "Regine.. show them!! Show them the effort you have put in!!" It didn't matter if any of her stunts were wobbly or unstable. I would have been equally proud of her even if all her stunts fell. Really.

Some may think that she is just an airhead. Ok sometimes she is hahaha.. But not everybody knows the things that she has done for the team better than cr and I. Without her, Team Spectrum would not be able to take part in Nationals. Without her, the team would not be half as fun. Without her, Team Spectrum would not be where we are today.

Regine Tang, Team Spectrum's 1st vice-captain.
Regine Tang, our craziest flyer.
Regine Tang, our Pageant Queen, ms elegant and ms flawless skin.
Regine Tang, our favourite Clear Men Girl on Girl tv star.

Regine, you have been more than just a team-mate. You have been more than a capable vice captain. Remember when we told you that you'll be the vice captain and u die die don't want? hahaha.. It didn't matter that I wasn't out there competing today. Because I felt that you were representing both of us. Representing the pioneers of Spectrum. Representing the belief that we have in Spectrum. Representing all the hard work and all the behind-the-scene things that nobody knows about.

Today, you have made me feel darn proud of you. More so than I can ever put into words. I'll miss your craziness. I'll miss the time we stayed behind to discuss about how to bring the team forward. I'll miss all the silly things that you do during training. I'll miss fighting alongside you.

This... is my tribute to Regine, my crazy team-mate, my fellow pioneer of Spectrum, my trusty vice-captain and more importantly, my family.

p.s. this entry was typed after Cheerobics 2008 but was waiting to get the picture before i post this =)
