INTERNATIONAL CHEERLEADING COMPETITION @ JAPAN 2007

This year's international cheerleading competition in Japan had 4 different categories. They are:

-Japan alone (mixed) category
-Japan & other countries all girls category
-International category
-Overall category

The OVERALL category is a comparison of the total scores from the other 3 categories.

There are 6 teams under the International category. They are:
- Taiwan 'Monsters' (1st)
- Russia (2nd)
- Singapore 'NTU ACES' ( 3rd)

-*Malaysia 'CHARM all stars'
-*Indonesia
-*Phillipines

*in no particular order

Team Japan's Golden Bear ( Japan all girls ) and Braves (Japan mixed) both won their respective categories and Braves were crowded overall champions for the competition. Apparently Japan did not take part in the International category this time round, but were in their own domestic league instead. The OVERALL competition based on scores saw:

-Braves ( 1st)
-Golden Bear (2nd)
-Taiwan Monsters (16th)

some nonsensical rantings. Appreciate only if you have the time ._.

Phantom Of The Opera - All I Ask Of You

No more talk of darkness,

forget these wide-eyed fears;

I'm here, nothing can harm you,

my words will warm and calm you.

Let me be your freedom,

let daylight dry your tears;

I'm here, with you, beside you,

to guard you and to guide you.

Christine

Say you'll love me ev'ry waking moment;

turn my head with talk of summertime.

Say you need me with you now and always;

promise me that all you say is true,

that's all I ask of you.

Raoul

Let me be your shelter,

let me be your light;

you're safe, no one will find you,

your fears are far behind you.

Christine

All I want is freedom,

a world with no more night;

and you, always beside me,

to hold me and to hide me.

Raoul

Then say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime;

let me lead you from you solitude.

Say you need me with you, here beside you,

anywhere you go, let me go too,

that's all I ask of you.

Christine

Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime.

Say the word and I will follow you.

Together

Share each day with me, each night, each morning.

Christine

Say you love me...

Raoul

You know I do.

Together

Love me, that's all I ask of you.

Anywhere you go let me go too

Love me...that's all I ask of you.

Hey all, long time din post liao... anyway, just sharing some pictures i took at Ueno park when e sakura flowers are in full bloom. usually they dont last for more than 2 weeks. so i guess they will all go bald by next week. usually because of heavy rain and strong winds blowing them off. signs of season changing from winter to spring. whacky weather. anyway, enjoy e pictures...

e sakura trees covers the walkway path all the way to the end. there are so many people around. most of them would camp in the park grounds overnight by the side of the road to "book" a niec place. The normal culture here is going for an event called "hanami" 花見... well, as the name is written, it is an activity to look at the flowers but then again, the flowers are actually just an excuse. the only thing they actually do is eat and drink till they are piss drunk. there are also some people who were playing musical instruments and dancing too. the dance looks like salsa but much slower.

close up of the sakura flower. this one caught my eyes because it is clumped up together like a ball. actually the whole tree was blooming in this manner. the picture of the whole tree dont look as nice but one single clump looks so cute...

me posing with a sakura flower when i was rowing a boat. hehe... the branch was low enough for me to grab it and take a pic... hehe... i shall not reveal the person who was in the same boat as me and took this photo... kekekeke...

this sakura tree was special because its colour is different. a much more feminine colour. it was written that the species is different but then i dont really know what is it called. sorry, my jap skills still sucks.

this is the place where i got on a row boat for about an hour. it costs 600yen for an hour rent of the row boat. first time rowing it and it kinda went round and round at first until i got the hand of it. quite fun! did not sweat from all the rowing because the weather was so cool n nice. actually it got kinda cold later at the end. went to an "oden" stand for some nice snacks. the fried tofu was superb... *drool*

finally, my third visit to the Ueno Zoo and the panda is finally awake. During my first two tries, it was always sleeping. funny way of sleeping by lying on its back with all four legs pointing upwards... i'll leave it up to you to imagine how it looks...

nice way to spend my sat going to see the sakura flowers... oh so nice.... too bad t only lasts for 2 weeks n not throughout spring.

Team Spectrum would like to bring about the attention of the following :

The entry dated : Sunday, April 01, 2007

which stated the following:

"Although we got 4th, and although denvers was laughing at us... "

This is incorrect. One of the Denvers cheerleaders has contacted nellie from SAJC Serahs regarding the above issue and the misunderstanding has been resolved.

SAJC Serahs is part of Team Spectrum's youth program and they are hence our responsibility. On behalf of SAJC Serahs and Team Spectrum, I would like to extend my apologies for any inconvenience caused pertaining to this issue.

and yes, OUR VIDEO!!

----
on a side note:
to the teammates, i want to say its been an honour training with you guys and even though our name was called out for being 4th,(*edited) i still believe that no one was responsible for us not winning anything.we win as a team, and we lose as a team. we stay tog as a team! we risked our lives and basically every bone and muscle in our body that could possibly cause us to be injured or worse still, paralysed . but we still went on, having faith in our bases and all our other team mates. it was that trust that brought us this far and it was our team spirit that brought us to the comp ground. i wanted to cry when we were given the merit award, but i thought to myself that its not about the award.its about how far we've come, how many friendships we've forged, how many injuries we've suffered even til this day. i wanna say you guys have been amazing and i couldnt have been in a better team.

to chaang (who we'll have little chances of seeing again), having you as our coach was the miracle we could ask for. you trained us and put our perseverance to the test and despite you hurling vulgarities,giving us ridiculous nicknames and also throwing yr temper,anger, frustration around, our respect for you has not wavered at all. you made us come this far and most importantly, tried to convert the innocent and holy ones haha.so we just wanna say thankyou :)

to kangjun (and the others), you've been really ENCOURAGING and sometimes thats what a team needs:encouragement(esp kangjun) we rarely hear vulgarities and in a way, its comforting ahha since we've all gotten so used to chaang's lingo.kangjun has moved me by not giving up on my singleX ahha even though i was undergoing alot of emotional trauma from the fall.he still believed that i could do it, right from the beginning till the end. even though i was wobbly on the comp day, you made me overcome my fear somehow and i really appreciate it.and to kahsian(SP), chongyan(i spelt yr name correctly), lawrence and wenfeng! you guys were there for us and we really appreciate it too :D

: i wrote alot..
More photos. Those few took me like 2 hours to upload them ._. 56k ftw!
