e sakura trees covers the walkway path all the way to the end. there are so many people around. most of them would camp in the park grounds overnight by the side of the road to "book" a niec place. The normal culture here is going for an event called "hanami" 花見... well, as the name is written, it is an activity to look at the flowers but then again, the flowers are actually just an excuse. the only thing they actually do is eat and drink till they are piss drunk. there are also some people who were playing musical instruments and dancing too. the dance looks like salsa but much slower.
close up of the sakura flower. this one caught my eyes because it is clumped up together like a ball. actually the whole tree was blooming in this manner. the picture of the whole tree dont look as nice but one single clump looks so cute...
me posing with a sakura flower when i was rowing a boat. hehe... the branch was low enough for me to grab it and take a pic... hehe... i shall not reveal the person who was in the same boat as me and took this photo... kekekeke...
this sakura tree was special because its colour is different. a much more feminine colour. it was written that the species is different but then i dont really know what is it called. sorry, my jap skills still sucks.
this is the place where i got on a row boat for about an hour. it costs 600yen for an hour rent of the row boat. first time rowing it and it kinda went round and round at first until i got the hand of it. quite fun! did not sweat from all the rowing because the weather was so cool n nice. actually it got kinda cold later at the end. went to an "oden" stand for some nice snacks. the fried tofu was superb... *drool*
finally, my third visit to the Ueno Zoo and the panda is finally awake. During my first two tries, it was always sleeping. funny way of sleeping by lying on its back with all four legs pointing upwards... i'll leave it up to you to imagine how it looks...
nice way to spend my sat going to see the sakura flowers... oh so nice.... too bad t only lasts for 2 weeks n not throughout spring.
